Our University is the Second Foundation University that Best Manages the Distance Education Process
University Research Laboratory (ÜNİAR), conducted a research under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Engin Karadağ on "Distance Education in the New Coronavirus (Covid19) Period" at the beginning of April.
Within the scope of the research, 17 thousand 939 students from 111 state and 52 foundation universities were asked about their distance learning experiences that started with the Covid-19 pandemic. Students who answered questions about distance education evaluated their universities on a five-point scale:
Very Bad (1 point), Bad (2 points), Moderate (3 points), Good (4 points), Very Good (5 points). While the students in Turkey gave 2.6 points in average for "Description of the
Explanations and Information During the Distance Education Process", the students of our university gave 4.2 points. While the average of “Distance Education
Preparation” in 163 universities was 2.3 points, our university scored 4.1 points. According to the results, our university ranked as the second foundation university that managed the distance education process best.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman stated that, "We have been a university that has the competence to teach on our distance education platform OnlineBeykoz. With the coronavirus process, we have increased this power to be applicable in all our programs in one week. Today, we successfully continue our distance education system with the participation of 741 defined courses, 202 academic staff and nearly 4 thousand students. He continued his words by saying that our students' attendance rate is high, our lecturers’ adaptation to the new situation is perfect.”

Prof. Dr. Engin Karadağ ve Prof. Dr. Cemil Yücel was published in the Journal of Higher Education. With the publication of this publication as a scientific study, our university took second place in literature as a university in satisfying its students in highest levels on distance education process in Turkey.
