The Occupational Promotion and Career Planning İn Railways Event was held on Friday, January 22 at 19:00 on zoom. The opening speech was delivered by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Baki Aksu and participation was intense in the broadcast. Okan Çalıova, President of the Association of Rail Systems Technology Graduates, and Emirhan Yolcu, President of the Rail Systems Club, contributed to the opening speech. While giving information to the participants about the schedule of events, there was participation of students from various universities of Turkey for the event.
Tren Bakım Onarım A.Ş. (Railway Maintenance Inc.) Mechanical Engineer Ömer Sözeri talked about the sector and the projects carried out by the company and gave information to the students in the field of rail systems. In his presentation, he also mentioned the equipment used in rail systems vehicles and the services it provides to vehicles as TMS in connection with the State Railways in our country. He conveyed to the participants that employment opportunities for those studying in the field of Rail Systems will be very wide.
Then, Alper Taylan, Pacific Eurasia Logistics Manager, explained how the legislation in the field of railway transportation for our country was formed and operated, and that they provided door-to-door service by using the railway. Pacific Eurasia Marketing Manager Ahmet Burak İçen stated that railway transportation is increasing day by day and underlined that the safest and most environmentally friendly mode of transportation is the railway.
Within the scope of effectiveness, Sivas Cumhuriyet University Rail Systems Instructor Erhan Selçuk and Ayhan Bekki talked about the work done in the field of rail systems as a university and the functioning of the courses academically. As a university, it was mentioned that studies were carried out in the Rail Systems department and the joy of coming together with Beykoz University in such an event. It was also said that this cooperation is extremely valuable.
One of the speakers, Rail Systems Technology Alumni Association President Okan Çalıova informed the participants about the association and gave information about the support provided for those who study in the field of rail systems and the work done. He also talked about the work done with TCDD and private railway logistics companies as the association, and also talked to the participants about the importance of the railway for our country and the rail systems students are very lucky in this regard.
After the question-answer part of the broadcast, which lasted about two hours, the broadcast ended with thanking the participants and guests.
