11th Agriculture Food and Cold Chain Logistics Symposium

The 11th Agricultural Food and Cold Chain Logistics Symposium will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 between 09:30 and 17:00 on Zoom, with the main theme of "Food Safety and Cold Chain Logistics".

Food is an integral part of people's daily lives. Beyond being a simple daily function, food is important for human health and happiness. Safe food is a food that has been made suitable for consumption by being purified from all kinds of spoilage and contamination factors. For this purpose, our food must be transported and stored under suitable conditions.

Cold chain is the storage of agricultural and food products at low temperatures in the process starting from the production stage to the shipment, storage and consumption stages. Today, there is an increase in the desire of consumers to reach safe food.  This increases the importance of the Cold Chain in all kinds of distribution channels and shows that it should be maintained with more attention and care.

The aim is to ensure that the difficulties and requirements encountered during the storage and distribution of agricultural products and foods that directly affect human health are known by all parties, to increase awareness of the importance of effective and efficient cold chain logistics, to establish standards for sustainability, to develop a cooperation environment, from a gastronomic point of view and to evaluate the agri-food supply chain.
