November in the Library: Adalet Ağaoğlu

Born in 1929 in Nallıhan district of Ankara, she held various positions at TRT between 1951 and 1971 after graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Language and History and Geography, Department of French Language and Literature in 1950. Ağaoğlu, who entered the world of poetry with the issues of Kaynak magazine published in 1948 and 49, also stepped onto the stage with the play “Bir Piyes Yazalım”, which was played in Ankara in 1953 and co-written with a friend. The starting point of Ağaoğlu's novels and stories is the 1973 novel “Ölmeye Yatmak” – "There are many people in this whole city who are late." (Üç Beş Kişi) -"It is still the dreams that adorn the darkest nights." (Hadi Gidielim) – "Is there anyone in this town who loves someone?" (Düğün Gecesi) – "If life is going to change, it will change with those who can change themselves, not those who keep up with the change." (Hayır)
