Dear Students,
In line with the University Senate Decisions taken, all the courses and lessons except for the applied ones were held online for the period of 04-16 January 2022 due to the rate at which Omicron, the latest Covid-19 strain, has been spreading besides the risks posed by that strain. As a result, we are pleased to see that, in spite of the surge of the rate of new Covid-19 positive cases throughout the country, the rate of the new Covid-19 cases emerging among our students has remained relatively lower than that of Turkey’s average.
In light of the fact that the pandemic goes on at an incredibly fast rate, the risks posed by this development, and the survey results held by our University’s Student Council with a high rate of participation among the students, our University Senate has decided to take the following decisions:
a) The final exams for the courses given completely online, along with the courses selected by the academic units for the courses conducted in a mixed fashion (both online and face-to-face), are to be held online while the final exams for the other courses left are to be held face-to-face on the campus with maximum emphasis on physical distancing rules.
b) The final exams for the programs instructed through Distance Education are to be held online.
c) The final exam (End of Module Exam) for the English Preparatory Program is to be held online while the English Proficiency Exam (Beykoz-Prof. Exam) is to be held face-to-face.
We wish you success.
