Held annually by University Assessments & Research Laboratory (ÜniAr) conducting research on universities and higher education, “2023 University Satisfaction Survey for Turkey (TÜMA)” has been released. Our university now ranks 15th in the “General Satisfaction Ranking for Foundation Universities” category, hence maintaining its steady rise on the related rankings this year as well.
Independent university research organisation ÜniAR has released the report cards for the state and foundation universities in Turkey as part of the University Satisfaction Survey for Turkey (TÜMA 2023) filled by students. 200 universities in Turkey, 126 of which remain state universities and 74 of which are foundation universities, participated in the survey while the data regarding the survey was collected from 47.761 students in total. Thanks to the survey that has been conducted every year since 2016, the satisfaction levels of Beykoz University students has been determined. And, the perspective of our students has revealed that our university has not compromised its understanding of education this year just like the previous year.
Ranked 38th among all universities in the 2022 report, Beykoz University rose to 27th place among 200 universities in the “General Satisfaction” category this year while maintaining its B grade. As for the "General Satisfaction Ranking for Foundation Universities", our university, which ranked 18th last year, moved up to rank 15th among 74 foundation universities, proving once again that Beykoz University enjoys a lasting success.
Explaining that being a student-oriented university has led to this steady level of success, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman has gone on to recommend that all students who will make their university preferences should definitely benefit from this independently conducted, significant survey evaluating the universities through already enrolled students and an objective perspective: “This way, prospective students can make the right choices for their future with the help of this independent survey in the days before the official university preference period."
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman receives “OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AWARD”
While Beykoz University ranks 27th in the "General Satisfaction Ranking for Foundation Universities" category, our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman has been awarded the Silver Award at the UniAr Outstanding Performance Awards.
As part of the University Satisfaction Survey for Turkey [TÜMA-2023], students have been presented with a "Rector Performance Evaluation Scale" consisting of 10 items to evaluate the rector of their university. Therefore, 47.761 students enrolled in 200 universities (126 state and 74 foundation universities) have provided data on their rectors. Following the analysis of the data collected, three rectors have been awarded the UniAr Gold Award, four rectors have been awarded the UniAr Silver Award, and five rectors have been awarded the UniAr Bronze Award in recognition of their outstanding performance at their universities. Beykoz University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Durman was awarded the UniAr Silver Award in 2022.
