The event titled “March 8 International Women's Day” organized by the Learning-Learning Coordinatorship was held on March 12, 2025 at the Kavacık Campus Conference Hall.
Enif Yavuz Dipşar, Head of Social Services Department of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), Çağla Çinili, Lawyer and Author, and Su Ökdemir, Representative of Mor Çatı Women's Shelter Foundation attended the event.
The event started with Enif Yavuz Dipşar's speech on women's empowerment and safety within the scope of IBB Women's Policies. Afterwards, Çağla Çinili discussed the urgent measures that can be taken to combat violence within the framework of Law No. 6284 and the issue of dating violence. The event ended with Su Ökdemir's presentation on Mor Çatı Women's Shelter Foundation's work in combating violence against women and the critical role of NGOs in this process.
