Beykoz University started the academic year with “challenging” changes

Besides cooperating with Macmillan Education, which is one of the most prestigious language schools teaching English all around the world and starting “interactive education era”, Beykoz University will educate the future professionals through the postgraduate programs to be offered very soon and organize programs for  answering to the needs  of personnel and community through “Beykoz Development” program.

Beykoz University has started the academic year with a series of changes. The first step of these changes is to cooperate with Macmillan Education, one of the leading language schools all around the world. Beykoz University started interactive education era in the field of foreign language teaching thanks to this cooperation and these changes in the academic life with continue with postgraduate programs and executive training certificate programs to be offered this year.

Distance education aided English Teaching

Beykoz University has organized a program with Macmillan Education, an English teaching institutions based in Scotland and operating in 130 countries, to offer interactive English teaching program to the students studying at the School of Foreign Languages. Beykoz University’s PresidentProf. Dr. Mehmet Durman highlighted that their goal is to graduate students who are fluent minimum in one language and added “our cooperation with Macmillan will offer the chance of interactive English teaching to our students and introduce them to ‘Maccampus’. Maccampus will offer language teaching beyond the classroom and provide the means of learning English to our students from their homes, offices or anywhere else”.

Students attending to Beykoz University’s English Prep School will be included in an intensive training program from the beginning of academic year until the end of academic year, namely from September to May, with Macmillan Education. Lecturers of Macmillan Education, which is an online system for following up and attending classes, will prepare and send daily, weekly and monthly online home works to prep students and the students will do the assigned home works to repeat and review their knowledge. Furthermore, the students will have one-to-one communication with their lecturers through Maccampus and be involved in interactive learning.  

Postgraduate Programs are starting

Beykoz University Postgraduate Studies Institute is planning to over three non-thesis master’s programs in 2017. Two of these programs submitted to the Higher Education Board for approval are Non-Thesis Master’s Degree Program of International Trade and Logistics and Non-thesis Master’s Degree Program of Business Administration which hope to train professionals capable of finding solutions fit for today’s business world, creating difference in terms of knowledge and skills, thinking analytically and easily adapting to innovations.

The other study program to be offered by the Institute is the Master’s Degree Program of Digital Art Design and Management. This program’s goal is to meet qualified and multi-dimensional manpower need who understands the semiology theory and capable of effectively working in visual and / or audial fields of art by using digital technologies.

Adaptation to the business world with ‘Beykoz Development’

Beykoz University hopes to give all basic capabilities required in the business world within the framework of Industry 4.0 and thus one of the changes to be introduced to the students by Beykoz University will be Beykoz University Lifelong Learning Center, also known as “Beykoz Development”. Beykoz Development will prepare programs for meeting the needs of personnel and community as well as organizing certificate programs, seminars and conferences for people intending to improve their personal expertise, skills and capabilities. Competency Classes and Competency Development Programs, which are the essential milestones of Beykoz University’s basic education approach and offered for improving student competency, will be organized under the roof of Beykoz Development.

The very first 120-hour Executive Development Certificate Program of Beykoz Development is planned to start in October 2017. Beykoz Development will offer other certificate programs in the upcoming months to create a difference in human resources, sales, communication, law, finance and software fields.
