We continued Heath, Safety and Security Conversations with the topic of “Occupational Health and Safety " under the coordination of our University’s Occupational Health and Safety Department and Occupational Health and Safety Club organized jointly with Heath, Safety and Security Group. HSE Consultant Mr. Çağlar DOHMAN was our guest in our conversation.
In our conversation, Mr. Çağlar answered the questions from the participants in the context of Occupational Health and Safety in the light of up-to-date information and personal experiences, and in the normalization process within the scope of Covid-19, stated that some standards are still not fully implemented in the workplaces but occupational health and safety professionals do their best to turn the situation of occupational health and safety into an opportunity in favor of all sides. He emphasized that much different precautions should be taken before and after Covid-19, and since the priority will start with individual sensitivity and the steps to be taken to prevent material and moral losses in this process, it should be taken jointly. In addition, Mr. Çağlar drew attention to the fact that individuals initiate transformations within themselves and that we can raise the awareness of the society by spreading this. He stated that some workplaces continued to work with isolation during this process, while some workplaces continued to work remotely. Saying that our main job within the scope of Occupational Health and Safety is to manage risk-opportunities and to examine accident events in detail, Mr. Çağlar contributed to the expansion of our perspective.
