Under the coordination of the Occupational Health and Safety Program of our university, we continued the Health Safety and Security Conversations, organized jointly with the Health Safety Security Group, with the topic "Augmented Reality in Occupational Health and Safety". SIMSOFT Istanbul Manager Dr. Gürkan KOLDAŞ was our guest.
Explaining the difference between augmented reality and virtual reality, which are the new generation technologies, and mentioning in which areas of life these two technologies are used and can be used, Mr. Gürkan stated his examples and projects both verbally and visually, and he pointed out the importance of using these technologies in Occupational Health and Safety in increasing operational efficiency, reducing time and cost loss, and reaching the desired levels in Health, Safety and Security. He showed how important are these technologies for Occupational Health and Safety studies, especially the training activities for the work to be done before / during / after the dangers that cause disasters and emergencies, the PPE that should be used in the mines and also how to take an approach to negative situations that may arise in the mine.
