Managing Change in Occupational Health and Safety

We continued the Health, Safety and Security Conversations organized jointly with the Health Safety and Security Group under the coordination of the Occupational Health and Safety Program and the Occupational Health and Safety Club with the subject of Managing the Change in Occupational Health and Safety. Our guest in our conversation was Ms. Lerzan ERKAN.
Speaking in our conversation about the importance of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Lerzan talked about headlines of quarantine, personal hygiene, healthcare workers being at the forefront, remote working, cooperation and solidarity, new job conducting skills, repositioning, changing mood of society, changing consumer.
Evaluating the agenda before and after Covid-19 in terms of Occupational Health and Safety, Ms. Lerzan emphasized the importance of emergency and crisis management, preventive health practices, risk analysis, managing remote working risks, and reviewing trainings and policies. She mentioned that employers should correctly identify corporate risks, re-establish occupational health and safety culture codes and go beyond legal obligations. She conveyed to our participants who attended the event their knowledge and experience about the competencies of occupational health and safety leaders while managing change in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.
