The education and course schedules of our vocational college are based on student/learning centered approach and designed in accordance with the 5th level supplementary items of NQF-HETR (National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education in Turkey) and NQF-HETR Fundamental Field learning outcomes and credits of related programs. In condition of completing the program with success, the anticipated outcomes of knowledge, skills and competency level of students are stated clearly and taken into consideration in program design process.
Excluding the foreign language preparatory classes, the study period is two years and compulsory credits based on student workload is 120 ECTSfor vocational college programs.
Program design is made in accordance with the aims, objectives and learning outcomes of that program. Learning activities such as lectures, laboratory works, assignments, projects, practices, workshops, internships, seminars and their content, learning outcomes, learning, teaching and evaluating methods & approaches are taken into consideration while designing programs. 30 ECTS credits, based on student workload for each academic semester, and 120 ECTS credits for total education period are set in design process.
The credits for each course in course schedules are defined according to the following criterion:
1 ECTS is fixed to 25.5 hours of student workload, calculated accordingly with this total workload for each semester. Workload of a student for each semester is 30 ECTS in normal conditions, 42 ECTS in maximum. Beykoz University uses the following table while transferring its grading to ECTS grading.

To calculate CGPA, final grade coefficients of all the courses taken by the student since the beginning of the first semester, excluding workplace practice, are multiplied by their corresponding ECTS credits and the results are added and this sum is divided by the total ECTS credits of all these courses.
