Language Policy

Nowadays, a student needs to master one or more foreign languages in order to be successful during and after his/her education. Beykoz University attaches special importance to foreign language education.  In all programs, the language of education and training will be Turkish but students will be provided with an opportunity to learn a foreign language (English) in the preparatory classes for 1 year, which will allow them to be able to follow the information in their fields and to communicate before they start their education. Students will be given a foreign language education at minimum European Language Portfolio B1 General Level for associate degree programs and European Language Portfolio B2 General Level for undergraduate programs. It will be ensured that students will have reached at least European Language Portfolio B2 General Level in associate degree programs and at least European Language Portfolio C1 General Level in undergraduate programs by the time they graduate. In their preparatory classes, as well as the foreign language education, students will also be provided with a “Basic Level Scientific Preparation Education” related to the main field of study they have preferred. In Beykoz University, there will be education prioritizing English.
